Ms B - Hair Thief??

****UPDATE****

I have kindly been informed that MsB has a reputation for hair thievery, the "Precious" style looks exactly the same as ETD's Preppy. As a relative newcomer I had no idea that people were so blatant about stealing others' creations and selling them as their own, and will be confronting this woman about it. How does a long term resident get away with doing this to not only ETD, but also apparently Gurl 6?? Ugh, it makes me sick. If anyone has any more information please come forward, I did not have any conversations with the seller before posting, but I'll be asking some serious questions and I am appalled someone would blatantly steal and profit from it.

WTF that looks like ETD hair by Elikapecka Tiramisu. You should check out her Peppy hairstyle and compare prims. Ms B has a horrible reputation of stealing, just ask Gurl 6 they were a victim before.

I am not involved with this any more than the posters except I'm tried of seeing this tired drama played out by people who are not involved at all.

Who exactly in SL has the "rights" to a high ponytail with bangs? You know there are only so many ways to comb hair folks.

Hmm I fail to see where the alleged injured party has contacted the alleged injurer - aren't those the people who are truly involved here?

By the way, "anonymous", how much credibility does an anonymous post foster for you? Zip for me.

On the subject of famous hair makers, I worship Six Kennedy. However, if I was a hair maker, I think I'd be hard pressed to do a style that wasn't like something Six has done, since she has hundreds of styles.

Just try to think before you get involved in publicly smearing someone's name. If you are not the maker of the product, save the drama for your mama.

People are so immature. The fact that you were accused of being a hair thief should make you feel famous. People actually care! ;D Shrug it off. Like I posted on their blog, there's millions of styles out there. You honestly expect them to all look different? Yeah, get over it people. And grow up. <3 Ana.

luve while I see your point...the issue is not that someone else has a high pony tail. The issue is that said high ponytail is damned near a prim for prim copy. There ara many many ways to make hair. In fact every noteworthy hairstylist I can think of has their own way with prims. Its very clear that rather than adapting her own way of toying with prims, Ms B simply dropped a hair from ETD on the ground and 'made' her hair by placing and twisting pieces in position to create a mirror image.

There is no denying its theft and honestly I find it very helpful when other people/bloggers post about the theft. I for one dont have time to run around and sift through shops to find out if anyone has stolen our stuff. We in fact just recently found out about theft that happened to us through a random shopper. I commend those who are looking out for others.

Ana...are you a creator at all??? Imagine you sit there...for hours..and yes i mean hours...maybe even days..creating this awesome creation. You place it for sale. And then some loser comes, buys it, and uses it to create the exact same damned thing and claims it as their own sweat, tears, and hard work. Its disgusting...and yes it is theft. They are the ones who need to grow up. The only thing I can assume is that you are not a creator and do not understand how prims work. Because anyone who has any idea how prims work can see its an exact duplicate.

sasy....i don't think its a coincidence that one of the styles in question just went on sale for 1L at ETD. :/ I've never heard of Ms B honestly.....and never been to her store..but if you go over to Shopping Cart Disco they have pictures of the styles for you to compare. Its kinda hard to deny.....

Thanks everyone for their comments and feedback. I think Ninja and Zoey have hit the nail on the head, it's not about similar styles, cos I'm in total agreeance on their being only so many ways to style hair, and I know designers are bound to create something that ends up a bit similar to someone else's once in a while, but when your design is blatantly copied prim for prim and repackaged, then sold as their own, as a designer I would be completely disheartened that a)people would stoop so low in the first place, and b) that there is almost no action taken to stop it.

I create, and I can see the designers side of this, that I would want to know, and I would want people to stand up and let thieves know that the community won't stand for it, even if there is no official consequences from the Lindens,

I'd also like to say I did not intend this to be a dubious 'name and shame' arena, I have contacted the seller for her input, and am also contacting both ETD and Gurl 6, but with their busy schedules I'm not expecting responses anytime soon. But trying to be a responsible blogger, if I praise someone's work, and someone shows me that the work isn't original, I'm going to add that in too, because the creators and people who DO care deserve to know.

Okay, enough of a ramble, let's find out her side of the story and move on.

Why in God's name would anyone reply to your accusations?

You are a blogger. You didn't create the 1L hair in question. It was in fact mean spirited and purposely hurtful of you to post about it at all.

If the parties TRULY involved in this cared to pursue it, thats their business.

Who appointed you SL cop? Get over yourself.

I commented and then took it off because mopre comments came in while I was typing said different things and I am definitely confused , prim for prim copy is diabolical I had done many posts and spent many hours running around sl with Teagan of Savoir Hair and Rowan of Shes so Unusual to stop all that crap of theft , ive been banned orbitted and all sorts of names called .

I still dont know the facts on this one , but yes if someone has done prim for prim copy or hair they have bought in any way demo or the real deal then argh , my concern would be with causing harm to someone that might not have... too much is going on lately and its getting nasty out there.

if you have proof great if you have both styles lined up side by side and they are close enough prim wise shape size placement, then yay for finding out ....Miss B has been around for a long time though so I am realy realy suprised is what I did say first off . still realy confused but its 11.15am and ive not slept

ZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

I totally agree with you Sasy, and I'll definately be taking that advice, I don't want to be like that, I guess my response is as much emotional because of the harsh feedback I got straight off. Tenshi did a photo side by side after I had a convo about it with her, but my post was intended to be honest and upfront, not a 'tabloid' piece. I don't want drama, I hate it, and I just want to get on with ding what I started, showing great talent.

I am a creator. I do prim work. But there is no stopping people from copying. So there's no point in creating drama and shit over it. People stole my work, but you don't see me stomping around huffing and puffing. And I don't see ETD stomping around and making a huge deal out of this either. Why should you? It's not any of our buisness to be involved in this. And whoever is starting crap in other blogs, needs to grow up and find better things to do with their time. All great hair creators, take apart already famous hair styles to learn how they're made. NO ONE CAN DENY THIS. If it's such a big deal, make hair in several sizes and make it NO MOD. Really. Think of ways to prevent it instead of whining about it.
